RGSL was an independent geophysical and geological consultancy established in 1994 by its Managing Director, Dr John M. Reynolds. RGSL was independently recognised as the leading environmental and engineering geophysics consultancy in the UK, and globally as an experienced company within the specialist area of glacial hazard assessment and remediation. RGSL won several small business awards, including the Welsh Small Business Champion award in 2003.
Clients included The World Bank, OECD, UNIDO and other UN agencies, Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), Department for International Development (DfID), international engineering and hydropower consultancies, private companies, local authorities and government agencies (Environment Agency, Countryside Council for Wales). High-profile projects have included the London Gateway Project, Crossrail, the Thames Tideway Project, Woolwich crossing for the Docklands Light Railway, and the Olympics Village, all in London; Abu Dhabi International Airport in the UAE; and major road development schemes (A595 Lillyhall to Parton in Cumbria, New Mersey Crossing).
Due to external circumstances the Management of RGSL were forced to place the company into liquidation on the 28th June 2009, and RGSL ceased trading on 30th June 2009.
Reynolds International Ltd (RIL) is a new company that provides an enhanced range of high-quality services over and beyond those for which RGSL was renowned.
